On-site Requirement: Every alternate week or 2-3 days every week

Our client are working on a major infrastructure project that is helping to assist in the effort to deliver the Ministry of Defences submarine programme. As part of this initiative, significant infrastructure investments are being made at their site in Plymouth. The client works closely with other parts of the business to maintain existing infrastructure and with their customers to understand their long-term needs.

We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to join the team to oversee the effective implementation of the Scope process and to ensure that the infrastructure projects align with defined governance structures. Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for scope, trend, and change management within major infrastructure project.
  • Lead, manage, coach, and support all major infrastructure project staff within the Change Discipline.
  • Support the recruitment of suitably qualified and experienced personnel for roles within the organisation.
  • Interface with other Project Controls disciplines and key stakeholders to ensure project cohesion.
  • Develop and implement the Scope and Change management framework.
  • Lead the coordination and facilitation of trend and change management activities, including identification, impact assessments, production of Change Requests (CRs), management reviews, escalation, close-out, and assurance.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of trend and change data within management tools.
  • Lead the provision of training, advice, and support on change management processes and procedures.
  • Audit systems and methods of suppliers to ensure compliance with Scope Management Requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing portfolios and liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to address complex business problems and produce logical solutions.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Experience leading successful teams in major complex projects, particularly in finance, commercial, or programme management.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Knowledge of / or experience in the nuclear submarine industry.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills.
