Quantity Surveyor

• £350 - £450 p/d (inside IR35)

Our client is a large technology business that specialise in supplying digital infrastructure and technology to the transportation sector.

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of project cost control from handover to final account. In this role you will report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor (Lead QS).

Key deliverables:

• Preparing and ensuring monthly client applications for payment are issued in accordance with the contract
• Identify, prepare, price and agree changes with the client
• Administration of contracts
• Reporting monthly on cost/value reconciliation
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with the client (with support as needed from Lead QS)
• Support the project manager to prepare and present the monthly contract review to senior management team
• Payment and commercial management of Suppliers/Sub-Contractors

Responsibilities:

• To be aware of and protect the business’ commercial interests by pursuing prompt payment for work executed
• Providing support and advice to the project team
• Identify areas to improve margin
• Participate in project meetings and producing progress report
• Support bid team as required in responding to ITT requests
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
