Production Controller

Recruiting for a Production Controller to work on a contract basis to support a leading client in the Rail Rolling Stock Industry based at their site in Widnes Cheshire.

Responsibilities
Co-ordinating a timely release schedule for manufacturing documentation and for the accurate recording and management of material availability to meet the schedule.
Responsible for shop floor loading, capacity monitoring and creation of Line of Balance charts where appropriate.
Providing support to Operational Management to ensure best utilisation of materials and resource.
Liaison with supply chain personnel and Wincanton to ensure the timely delivery of material.
Co-ordinating the delivery of assembled products into stores.
Monitoring and reporting planned v actual times.
Manage and process rejects effectively to minimise manufacturing delays.
Ensuring that manufacturing documentation is correctly processed at job close out and that all materials have been allocated via SAP.
Ensuring data integrity within SAP, SFDC and other databases.

Desired Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge of MRP based systems, preferably SAP.
Some experience in material management and Production Planning.
Experience of co-ordinating activities within an Operations environment.
Experience of co-ordinating projects within a complex supply chain.
Some experience of working with external suppliers particularly expediting.
Commercially aware.
