Job Title: Senior Control Engineer - SCADA Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Control Engineer with extensive SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in control systems design, project management, and tender processes, particularly within the utilities and water industry.

Responsibilities:

SCADA System Design and Implementation:

Develop SCADA system architectures, specifications, and functional designs tailored to meet project requirements.
Configure, program, and integrate SCADA systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with existing infrastructure and equipment.
Project Management and Tender Participation:

Lead and participate in the preparation of bids and tenders, providing technical expertise and input during the proposal development process.
Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
Utilities and Water Industry Expertise:

Apply specialized knowledge of control systems and SCADA solutions within the utilities and water industry, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Analyze customer requirements and industry trends to propose innovative solutions that address specific challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
Technical Support and Training:

Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders, resolving complex issues related to SCADA systems and control engineering.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on SCADA system functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in SCADA systems and control engineering, integrating new methodologies to improve system performance and functionality.
Collaborate with research and development teams to innovate and develop next-generation SCADA solutions tailored to industry requirements.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control engineering, with a focus on SCADA system design, implementation, and project management.
Proven track record of successfully leading SCADA projects from conception to completion, including involvement in bid and tender processes.
Extensive knowledge of SCADA software platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, or Siemens WinCC, with hands-on experience in configuration and programming.
Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations governing SCADA systems in the utilities and water sectors (e.g., NERC CIP, EPA regulations).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or equivalent.
Experience with SCADA system cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability assessment.
Knowledge of SCADA system redundancy and failover configurations for critical infrastructure applications.
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and cloud-based SCADA solutions.
