What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality 3D layout designs for AC substations—ranging up to 400kV—using Autodesk Revit. You won’t just be sitting behind the screen; you’ll work closely with our civil engineers, design leads, and wider project teams to bring your models to life with real-world accuracy and technical finesse.

This is a hands-on role where your layouts will inform every other aspect of substation construction—from structural steel placement and cable trenches to safety clearances and maintenance accessibility. In short: your designs will power progress.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings not only the technical know-how but the mindset of a collaborative problem-solver. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Hands-on experience in creating detailed 3D layout design for AC substations using Autodesk Revit.
• A strong understanding of AC substation design, particularly at high voltages (up to 400kV)
• Knowledge of how to coordinate with civil design models and other engineering disciplines
• A working knowledge of Health & Safety standards, including CDM regulations
• A relevant qualification—HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Design
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills—you’ll be working closely with others every day

Bonus points if you’ve previously worked in a layout engineer or Revit technician role for substation projects.
