Junior Health and Safety Engineer

Morson are currently recruiting for a Junior Health and Safety Engineer based in County Durham.

Our client, a leading provider of engineering and technical solutions within the nuclear sector, is seeking a talented Junior Health and Safety Engineer to support their operations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and contribute to the ongoing success of nuclear power generation in the UK. As part of our Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions (NPETS) team, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety excellence across our projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing positive leadership on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters within project teams.
Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of HSE management systems.
Making recommendations for continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
Managing contractors and leading accident investigations and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A relevant technical qualification (HNC or equivalent).
Knowledge of CDM Regulations and NEBOSH certification.
Experience working in highly regulated environments, preferably within the nuclear or construction industry.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
The ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
