Summary:

The purpose of this role is to provide site engineering duties for water projects across West Sussex, Kent, and Hampshire. The Site Engineer will establish level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per contract drawings, ensuring regular checks. Responsibilities include promoting safe working cultures, complying with legal obligations, and ensuring quality work delivery. The role involves resolving technical difficulties, coordinating with procurement to ensure resource availability, and maintaining accurate records. The Site Engineer will collaborate with site agents to produce task briefings and site diaries.

Skills:

• Experience in setting out on civil engineering projects
• Knowledge of construction methods and regulations
• Health and safety compliance
• Proficiency with robotic total station or EDM instruments
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven and results-oriented
• Ability to resolve technical difficulties
• Experience with quality assurance and defect-free delivery
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams

Certifications & Standards:

• Degree qualified/HNC in Civil Engineering
• CSCS card
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification
