And right now, we’re looking for a Senior Contract Manager. Based at our Capenhurst and Birchwood sites you’ll be managing the commercial and financial aspects of contracts supplying goods and services for one or more projects. You will be accountable for the administration of multi million contracts and can therefore influence contractual cost and claims.

What will your day look like?

• Provision of guidance and support to project team on contractual and commercial issues arising from contracts, including contract interpretation, issuance of proper and timely contractual notices, possible claims and issue resolution and interface on contract management.
• Establish best practices for contract management.
• Provide advice and recommendations to team members regarding contractual and legal implications of potential project strategies and decisions.
• Manage contractual risks and opportunities. Support management and control of all contractual documents, including ensuring that all such documents are complete, communicated at the right level and stored properly.
• Manage or support on the drafting, review and/or negotiation of contracts and contract documents required in day-to-day activities.
• Administrating assigned contracts in line with Urenco’s policies and procedures.
• Maintaining records of all contract communications and ensuring that all communications are executed in line with the contractual required timescales.
• Provide support to project managers for their assigned contracts and manage interactions and claims with project teams and other project contributors.
• Monitor contract performance and make management aware of any upcoming commercial or contractual issues or deadlines.
• Oversite and production of Monthly Reports as required.
• Ensure knowledge is retained and transferred and undertake lessons learned reviews to promote continuous improvement.
• focal point for the Project Management Office (PMO) and become our representative within the PMO.
• Ensure UUK, UNS & UCP are all aligned.
• CM representation in PPDs & PPPDs as required.
• Possible International Travel to US & Europe to liaise & co-ordinate between stake holders and CM Leads in US & Europe.

What do you need to be great at this role?

• Hold a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
•  Possess membership in a relevant professional body like RICS.
• Demonstrate proven proficiency in overseeing diverse teams.
• Exhibit robust leadership skills, with a track record of making decisive decisions.
• Capable of assisting your team in resolving problems effectively.
• Bring at least a decade of relevant experience in contract management.
• Have experience in procuring and managing frameworks.
• Familiarity with NEC3, JCT, ICHEME is desirable but not mandatory.
