Mechanical Designer TDA

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Designer for the TDA, this is for legacy pond work to be situated on Sellafield site, West Cumbria.

Role Duties:
Develop AutoCAD designs.
Ensure design deliverables are produced to a high standard.
Check and produce CDM risk registers.
Check and approve scoping and calculations.
Produce technically accurate documentation.
Ensure work is delivered to scope.
Develop estimates and requirements at bid stage.
Ensure health and safety procedures and legislation is adhered to.
Assess concessions and technical queries.

Minimum Qualifications:
HNC/HND qualified Mechanical Designer (or equivalent through enhanced experience).
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
Experience using AutoCAD is essential.
Ideally have SC Clearance or the ability to gain it.

Desirable Experience:
Experience of any Sellafield or nuclear industry.

The rate is negotiable for the right candidate and the duration of this role is for 12 months with a view to extend.
