ELECTRICAL SHIFT TECHNICIAN

Location: Warrington, Cheshire
Working hours: 4on(2 days, 2 nights) 4off shift pattern
Salary: £45,312/annum

About role
The primary role is to improve and maintain plant availability of the manufacturing areas. Howev-er, in order to meet the production needs it is also required to tackle break downs and get the plant running as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an Electrical/Instrument maintenance technician to enhance our existing shifts. Working as a key team member all candidates must have 5 years maintenance experience and be qualified to a minimum of ONC (preferably HNC) in Electrical / Control Engineering discipline. Additionally, all candidates must be fully conversant with all aspects of 3 phase and single-phase motor controls, inverter speed controls and have good fault-finding attributes. A working knowledge of PLC’s is essential, with instrumentation experience of process flow, pressure, and temperature measurements an advantage. Working knowledge of gas burner control systems, safety devices, burner ignition sequence and burner set up would be an additional advantage.

Key Skills and Knowledge
• Responsible for attending to breakdowns throughout the shift, and ensuring plant is down for the least time possible.
• Responsible to ensuring all PMs allocated are done and followed up with any feedback to the engineering planner.
• Responsible for ensuring the correct escalation process is followed in the event of an out of hours problem occurring.
• Responsible for following up problems and developing solutions in cooperation with the Lead Engineer.
• Responsible for the safe work of themselves and others whilst work is undertaken, and to ensure equipment is made safe for use.
