Job Description:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects in Northern Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom. They will work on a contract basis and are expected to work full-time hours. The primary industry of focus will be construction.
Job Duties:
- Planning and coordinating construction projects
- Managing budgets and resources effectively
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Overseeing and supervising construction teams
- Communicating with stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager
- Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Education:
- Relevant degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Professional certifications in project management are desirable
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
- Demonstrated success in completing construction projects on time and within budget
- Ideally have experience of working on Defence projects.
- Must be able to obtain SC clearance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- Additional qualifications in health and safety management
Working Conditions:
The Construction Manager will work on construction sites in Northern Europe, including various locations in the United Kingdom. They may be required to travel and work outdoors in different weather conditions. The role may involve working evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines.
