Project Health and Safety Manager - Mayfair, London - £70k-£80k+pacakge (car, travel allowance, pension, 28 days holiday plus stats) - fantastic opportunity to join a global construction contractor on a prestigious construction project.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Health and Safety Manager to lead the health, safety, and wellbeing agenda on a major multi-million-pound construction development in the West End of London. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting all aspects of the project are executed to company health and safety policies.

  • Lead, develop and implement the project-specific Health and Safety Plan. Provide strategic and practical guidance on all HSE matters throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, including CDM 2015 and other relevant UK legislation.

  • Act as the primary interface between the client, principal contractor, and all subcontractors on health and safety issues.

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; produce reports with findings and corrective actions.

  • Monitor and report on KPIs including incidents, near-misses, and safety observations

  • Facilitate HSE induction, toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety briefings.

  • Support behavioural safety initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Liaise with relevant statutory bodies (e.g. HSE) as required.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, including RAMS and COSHH assessments.

Requirements:-

  • Proven track record working as a Health and Safety Manager within the construction industry
  • Experience working on complex building projects, including multistorey buildings
  • Excellent report writing, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in leading and supporting incident investigation
  • In depth understanding of the principals of health, safety and wellbeing, including an understanding of effective management techniques
  • NVQ Level 5, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health and Safety qualification 
  • CMIOSH (not essential)
