Groundworker

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks on site, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard, in line with client expectations and strict Health and Safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be expected to carry out duties such as:

Preparing site compounds and setting up haul roads

Installing drainage systems, sewers, and over-pumping systems

Excavating for structures including piling operations

Concreting foundations

Laying ducts, kerbs, flags, and block paving

Installing and maintaining temporary works (TWs)

Ensuring accurate submission of timesheets

Adhering to absence and reporting procedures

Working both independently and as part of a team

General Duties:

Maintain high Health and Safety standards at all times

Actively participate in personal development and training opportunities

Promote equality, fairness, and respect in the workplace

Key Performance Indicators:

Safe and efficient working practices

Timekeeping and attendance

Quality and standard of work

Positive attitude towards company policies and procedures

Customer satisfaction and complaint handling

Essential Requirements:

Valid UK driving licence

CSCS Card

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with the Environment Agency

Street Works qualifications (NRSWA)

Experience working in or near water
