Landscape Architect or Experienced Landscape Assistant

Our client is an multi-award winning architecture and building consultancy practice. Based on their strong heritage and breadth of services, they provide imaginative solutions to make a positive contribution for their clients, society and the built environment.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Architect or an experienced Landscape Assistant with a minimum of 2 years professional experience to join their creative and friendly team in Bristol.​

​​The Role:
​You will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.

​Your Skills and Experience:
Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture preferably from a school accredited by the Landscape Institute or working towards this.
Chartered status CMLI having successfully completed the LI Pathway to Chartership (P2C).
Minimum of 2 years professional experience.
Proven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion.
Good knowledge of plants and planting design.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in landscape design projects at various stages, providing technical support to colleagues in the delivery of small to large scale projects of varying complexity.
Assist in the preparation of Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Appraisals to support Planning Applications and Environmental Statements.
Prepare drawings and documents using a variety of software packages in Revit. You need to be experienced and utilise Revit as your software of choice.
Appraise sites in terms of their opportunities, restrictions and risk.
Liaise, engage and present to project stakeholders including clients, contractors, planning departments and members of the public.
Assist with business development, bids and marketing.
Some financial management of projects.
Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists.
Attend site regularly to monitor progress.
Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists.
Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA procedures.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally.
