Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Brighton
Contract Type: Contract (initial duration: 6 months)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee civil engineering works in the Brighton area. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of the project, maintaining quality standards, and managing site teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and qualified professional to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan (HASEMP)

Deliver high-quality, defect-free construction

Ensure minimal disruption to the public and surrounding community

Supervise and mentor the site team, ensuring high performance and compliance

Engage only appropriately trained and competent operatives

Promote cost-effective practices through efficient resource management

Develop and maintain realistic, up-to-date project programmes

Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments

Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks

Ensure all plant and equipment is suitable, safe, and operated correctly

Maintain accurate records for measurement and payment

Escalate issues or opportunities to line management in a timely manner

Collate “as-constructed” records for inclusion in the Health and Safety File

Requirements:
Essential:

Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Recognised qualifications in Site Management

CSCS Site Manager (minimum)

IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate

Valid First Aid at Work qualification

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong understanding of engineering principles

Desirable:

Incorporated or Chartered status (ICE, CIOB, etc.)

Familiarity with NEC contracts and public infrastructure environments
