MCC Controller – Aircraft AOG Recovery (Stansted HQ / Hybrid)
Location: Stansted HQ (3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Schedule: 455 Shift Pattern | 07:00–19:00

Are you an experienced aviation professional with a passion for technical excellence and operational problem-solving? We are currently seeking a MCC Controller to join our client’s AOG response team—a critical, high-paced division focused on the global recovery of grounded aircraft (AOG) with safety, compliance, and efficiency at the forefront.
About the Role
As an MCC Controller, you’ll act as the central point of contact for AOG management, overseeing the planning, execution, and communication of aircraft recovery operations across the global network. You’ll liaise with internal departments, service partners, and customers to ensure that every AOG event is resolved swiftly with full visibility and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Operational
Provide tailored solutions for global AOG events.
Create detailed AOG recovery plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and serviceability estimates.
Act as a central communication hub for all stakeholders during aircraft recovery.
Support daily MCC department operations in coordination with the Operations Manager.
Ensure decisions reflect commercial awareness and customer impact.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure full compliance with SOPs and safety policies during AOG events.
Promote Health & Safety practices and approved supplier policies throughout recovery activities.
Cost Control
Track cost expenditure for accurate customer billing.
Raise purchase requisitions to support ongoing operations.
Logistics & Administration
Assist with booking transport and flights.
Source and procure standard aircraft parts, consumables, and tooling.
Liaise with internal departments and third-party suppliers to support AOG events.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Knowledge
Strong technical background in aviation (B1/B2 license, apprenticeship, or related degree).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft engineering or MRO operations.
Solid understanding of AOG lifecycle and production planning in a commercial setting.
Experience driving operational improvements and change initiatives.
Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skills.

Work Environment & Flexibility
Office-based (Stansted HQ) 3 days per week; remote working 2 days.

455 shift pattern with 30-minute lunch break.
