Electrical Design Engineer

The role sits with a precision engineering business working on control and instrumentation systems for naval vessels and submarines — real hands-on work with full project lifecycle involvement, from design through to manufacture and commissioning (all under one roof).

Key highlights:

Salary £50K+

Projects in the defence/maritime sector – high-impact, long-term pipeline

Design work using EPlan (or similar) – LV power, lighting, control systems

Involvement in FAT/SAT testing, documentation, and technical leadership

Small team, close-knit SME culture – no red tape, lots of visibility

Must be a UK national due to security clearance requirements

They’re ideally looking for someone with 5+ years’ electrical design experience who enjoys variety, autonomy, and a technically engaging environment.
