Operations Control Centre (OCC) Manager - £55K

Role Purpose:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced OCC Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our client’s Operations Control Centre. This role ensures that flight dispatch, flight watch, and ground coordination are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with all regulatory and company standards. The OCC Manager will also play a vital role in team leadership, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily functions of the OCC, including dispatch, flight watch, and operational oversight.

  • Ensure all operations meet regulatory, safety, and company standards.

  • Oversee third-party service providers and ensure high-quality delivery of OCC-related services.

  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Control to manage scheduling, AOG events, and maintenance coordination.

  • Provide leadership, support, and ongoing development of OCC team members.

  • Monitor flight schedules, flight planning, and ensure compliance with duty time regulations (OMA Section 7).

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders: crew, customers, third-party providers, and airport authorities.

  • Manage airport slots, flight permits, and disruption/contingency planning.

  • Review post-flight documentation and support process improvements.

  • Contribute to the introduction and implementation of new systems and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations including dispatch, ground ops, customs, dangerous goods, and security.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in flight operations or OCC management.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience with aviation systems – ideally LEON and PPS.

  • Dispatch Licence (preferred, not essential).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Strong customer service mindset and team collaboration skills.
