This family is responsible for creating everything from the initial concept to the final design and qualification of that design of Survitec Aerospace and Defence products. They develop ideas for new products and prototypes, as well as evolving the design details of established ranges. They deeply understand the safety needs of Survitec customers and deliver innovation that captures the design strategy and brand values. They integrate innovative functional solutions with world-class creativity to support Survitec’s vision to become the most trusted provider of safety services Job Summary

It is focused on executing and coordinating engineering tasks as part of a wider engineering team. This may include developing and using specialist engineering skills Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that the customer requirements are fulfilled in the designed product by carrying out engineering assessments, modelling and physical test campaigns.

• Delivers required outcomes by co-ordinating the activities of subcontractors and suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within established contract management plans

• Identifies shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, using established change management programs to address them

• Helps others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice

• Carries out a range of product development and engineering activities. Uses established systems to analyse customer needs, defining and delivering products to meet those needs

• Works within an established project management plan to achieve specific business and function goals

• Understands, upholds and contributes to creating a safety-first culture within Survitec

• Develops own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develops and maintains an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices Skills

• Plans and prioritises work to meet commitments aligned with Survitec goals

• Is a reliable source of reference on relevant safety standards and where these standards are at risk. Provides important insight into the root cause and corrective actions for such safety risks and issues. Experience and qualification

- University degree level in Engineering

- 2 – 5 years of general engineering experience

- Qualification of Aerospace products experience

- Product Safety experience

- FMECA/ DFMEA experience
