Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading aerospace organisation, to recruit a Supply Chain Planner for an initial 6-month contract. There is a good chance that the role could turn permanent after this. The role will offer flexible working & the opportunity to travel abroad to develop relationships with key strategic partners.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation’s supply chain. Your responsibilities will include monitoring global inventories, forecasting sales and production levels, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position is essential for meeting customer demand, increasing efficiency and lowering costs.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting: You will forecast demand for materials needed in our production process. This involves analysing historical data, market trends, and customer requirements to predict future demand accurately.

Inventory Management: You’ll be responsible for tracking inventory levels, ensuring that they align with demand.

Supplier Management: You’ll work closely with key suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring that supply agreements are active. This involves understanding our suppliers’ portfolios and confirming that they align with our bill of materials.

Data Analysis: Monitoring and measuring process performance producing regular and accurate management information/reports as required

Problem Solving: Adhering to standard procedures and precedents, you’ll address supply chain challenges that arise. You’ll have guidance available from stakeholders when needed.

Collaboration: Working closely with the Supplier Project Manager, you’ll address any relevant issues that arise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Experience in supply chain planning, preferably within the aerospace industry
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Proficient use of MS applications with good understand of MRP and other planning systems.

£40,000 per annum
