Location: Hybrid - 1 day on site, 1 day in Arcadis office, 3 days WFH

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Senior Cost Managers to support high-profile defence sector projects for a leading client, including BAE Systems. This role offers a hybrid working model, with site visits required once a week and occasional presence in the Arcadis office.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong cost management skills and experience working in complex manufacturing environments, particularly within the defence sector. Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain it is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Full lifecycle cost management: pre-contract through to post-contract stages

Cost estimating, planning, and benchmarking for complex manufacturing facilities

Contract administration, change control, and risk management

Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure budget compliance and value delivery

Supporting project controls and reporting across multiple sites as needed

Working closely with the Arcadis team and client teams (e.g., BAE Systems)

Essential Requirements
Demonstrated cost management experience in complex manufacturing or industrial environments

Previous experience in the defence sector - ideally with BAE Systems or similar clients

Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and commercial management principles

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Flexible to attend site locations such as Preston, Banbury, Bedford, or Bristol once a week

Be able to get SC clearance

Desirable
Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, AACE, or similar)

Experience using cost management tools and reporting software
