Job Duties:

  • Developing and designing structural components and systems for aerospace and aviation projects
  • Conducting analysis and calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry regulations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into overall project requirements
  • Utilising CAD software to create detailed design drawings and specifications
  • Participating in design reviews and providing technical guidance on structural design aspects
  • Performing risk assessments and proposing solutions to design challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in structural design within the aerospace or aviation industry
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to structural design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in structural design within the aerospace or aviation industry

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software for structural design
  • Understanding of stress analysis and finite element methods
  • Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes used in aerospace industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Professional engineering certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer status)
  • Experience with advanced structural analysis tools and software

Working Conditions:

The role is based in an office environment at Samlesbury. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings and site visits.
