Experience key - Need Aircraft and test rig experience
Our key aerospace client are looking for a design engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in the Aircraft industry.
You need to be fully conversant with part and assembly design, solid modelling and surface generation using all of the generation functions available within GSD. Ideally, you will have experience of designing Skeleton models that drive assemblies and parts through publication.
You need to be able to generate complex shapes and control them parametrically.
You need to be able to understand structural load paths and FEM model principles.
You will need to be fully familiar with Aircraft components and able to read complex drawings. You will also be familiar with the principle of rotorcraft propulsion and components.
You will ideally have an understanding of CS25, CS27, CS29 and SC VTOL regulations
You need to be familiar with composite design, and manufacturing principles. You will also be fully conversant with metallic processes and materials utilised within the aircraft industry.
You will ideally have experience in test tunnels and associated scale environments
We hope you have a genuine enthusiasm for all things aircraft and patience to consider your designs carefully.
You will be used to writing technical reports and working from requirements documents.
You will be able to play a major part in commissioning test rigs.
You will be working in a development environment where safety is our no.1 priority. You will need to be able to work autonomously in order to meet deadlines, as our team is multi sited.
You will be used to working carefully and cautiously with everything you do, with a need for downstream impact understanding.
