Morson Talent are recruiting a Security Operator for our Aerospace and Defence client based in Brize Norton, Carterton
Role: Security Operator
Rates: £30.00 per hour Umbrella / £22.43 + Holiday Pay £3.26 per hour PAYE
Site: Brize Norton, Carterton
12-Month Contract
Main Objectives:
Delivery of Security at the standards specified under contract (MOD, HMG, NPSA,) for goods in and reception tasks at our Material Support Facility; security support and/or response to other facilities primarily within the business park area including unlocking and securing premises.
To assist with security arrangements for visitors to the facilities via the RAF Brize Norton Station access control and be the focal point of contact for all employees visiting other facilities, within the UK and overseas if Security details are required.
Consolidate and report security outputs through collection and analysis of appropriate metrics to facilitate evidence-based decision making.
The role will be allocated working hours Mon – Fri 0730-1345 and 1115 – 1900 and due to the positions being front of house a smart appearance essential (uniform not provided).
Responsible for:
• Maintain and update department files and records and effectively answering routine enquiries.
• Attend to customers arriving at the Material Support Facility
• Maintain mandatory forms and databases
• Ensure security forms are up to date, compliant and aligned across the Site.
• Process Inward/Outward visitors in accordance with HMG/our standards
• Inform Security Operations Officer of any security issues, as and when they occur.
• Create reports, when required, from the security systems and tools available
- Security metrics, social media/comms, travel risk assessments.
• Support other members of the security office, as necessary within capability.
• To provide resilience for the security office, be able to carry out the duties and procedures associated with business travel, visits, documents and personnel security.
Key Competencies:
• A confident and articulate communicator, able to positively co-ordinate effectively at many levels.
• Clear ability to work decisively within a multinational and/or defence environment.
• Desirable - to hold SIA Front Line Licence and have security positions experience.
• IT competent in Excel, Word and report writing.
• Essential – have or be able to obtain UK National Security Vetting.
