The Industry Handover Point (IHP) is an essential part of the TyTAN enterprise, responsible for the management and movement of repairable assets to, and from, the off base repair agents. This role will ensure appropriate asset availability is maintained via strict repairable management, in support of ongoing availability and fleet growth. Reporting to the RAF Coningsby IHP Supervisor, the Logistics Planner shall:-
Generate the required paperwork to despatch unserviceable Typhoon assets to the relevant repair facility for overhaul or upgrade.
Updating specific databases with export control information to ensure compliance with export control regulations.
Packing and preparing hi-value items correctly to ensure there is no damage during transportation.
Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring safety for both assets and team members.
Handling both Cryptographic and security classified equipment ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
Driving of company vehicles around the on-base environment.

Job Description
WORKING HOURS – ON BASE

- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 7.30am – 12pm Fri).

- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks).

- Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours.

- Lunch break allowance is 30 minutes between 12.30 – 1:00pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 30 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system.

- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.

- Candidates should be aware that this position may involve shift work

Nightshift pattern Days: 07:30 till 16:00hrs and Nights: 16:00 to 02:00hrs

Additional Information
There is a vacancy at RAF Coningsby for a Logistics Planner, to be responsible for the day to day operation of the repair asset management, ensuring unserviceable Typhoon assets are despatched in a timely manner to the associated repair agents.

The job will require you to act on behalf of the RMS Team Leader and is directly responsible for the following:

- Generating the required paperwork to despatch unserviceable Typhoon assets to the relevant repair facility for overhaul or upgrade.
- Carrying out the receipt process on returning serviceable assets. - Updating specific databases with export control information to ensure compliance with export control regulations.
- Packing and preparing hi-value items correctly to ensure there is no damage during transportation.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring safety for both assets and team members.
- Handling both Cryptographic and security classified equipment ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
- Driving of company vehicles around the on-base environment.
- Liaise with all relevant support agencies as required.
- Assist the IHP Supervisor during times of surge activity.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate or have an awareness of the following:

A basic knowledge of MoD and Systems Inventory / Supply Chain Management techniques and principles.
An awareness of Export Control and International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Confident and effective communicator and be IT literate.
Note: Security clearance and ITAR/EAR licencing restrictions apply to this role.
Accountable for the day to day operation of repair asset management, ensuring that unserviceable Typhoon assets are despatched in an expedient manner to the associated repair agents
Responsibilities
Experience Requirements: § A basic knowledge of MoD and BAE Systems Inventory / Supply Chain Management techniques and principles.
§ An awareness of Export Control and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
§ Confident and effective communicator and be IT literate
§ Good Understanding of an Availability Contracting Environment (including TyTAN)
§ Knowledge of working practices of BAE Systems, RAF and UK MoD.

Technical Qualifications:
- Supply Chain Transportation
- Distribution of Classified Material
- A working knowledge of MJDI, MIS and Trilogyview would be an advantage
