Despatch Inspector

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Despatch Inspector or a Stores Person looking for progression to work for an established aerospace company in Filton, Bristol.

Our client is a global company invested in shaping the future of flight and developing technologies to make aircraft fly further, faster and greener.

As a Despatch inspector you will be flexible to business needs and passionate about providing a professional service to both internal and

external customers.

The role is to inspect and certify finish product in line with company processes and policies.

  • Become a qualified and self-sufficient goods receipt / despatch inspector.
  • Complete transactional processes within defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Follow stores best practice to ensure a stock levels are accurate.
  • Gaining the relevant certifications in becoming capable of operating Power Operated Vehicles (POV’s) to mechanically handle aircraft parts.
  • Working within the physical logistics organisation ensuring all daily / weekly activities are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Responsible in ensuring that housekeeping regimens are adhered to and adopt the departmental 5S policy to its current and future standards.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that all of the above deliverables are carried out efficiently and safely in order to maintain schedule adherence and to comply with specific processes, procedures and legislation.

  • Champion ‘Export Control’ compliance activities, ensuring you and where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site ‘Technology Control Plan (TCP)’, guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems.
  • Compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities. Reporting of all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company’s procedure and implementation of identified corrective actions.

Standard Hours:    35 Hours over 4.5 Days 

Hours are usually 7am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 12 noon on Fridays    

Rotating month of days month of nights

Night Shift Pattern with 33% uplift to standard rate:

week 1. Monday to Friday 6am to 1pm

week 2. Monday to Friday 1pm to 8pm

Security requirements:   Baseline Security Clearance Required may be able to start with security ongoing providing Security forms received and DBS Receipt received
