Morson Talent currently have an opportunity available for a Works Analyst to work on the behalf of our Aerospace clients based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a full-time position to work on an ongoing contract.
Job Purpose
• To work within the Work Analysis team conducting analytical review of deviations to manpower budgets and task related durations which impact business efficiency. Working in partnership with stakeholders, you will use your knowledge to support creation of policies, processes, tools and methods that eliminate waste and encourage best practice.
Responsibilities
• To support the Work Analysis Team Lead in harmonising a common Work Analysis methodology, ensuring cross site/plant consistency.
• To produce, analyse and interpret weekly/monthly trend performance data against reason codes, efficiency, diversions, capacity, cost and labour and present to management.
• Work with all of the Aircraft Operations team and with other teams around the business to develop and continuously improve the work analysis reporting processes in order to meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure that all processes are accurately documented in the team’s departmental instructions.
• To accurately analyse operational data and associated tasks and provide clear and concise reports.
• Determine cost centre working efficiencies, gross productivity, ’k’ indices and associated trends.
• Aid the determination of accountability of variance from assigned labour costs through review meetings with associated stake holders.
• Using Works Analysis tools support evaluation of assigned times and instigate steps towards appropriate action such as desk top review or observational analysis, taking part in the observation when required.
• Identify sustainable improvement opportunities to the Works Analysis or Continuous Improvement Team Leads.
• Support the implementation of new technology and supporting processes ensuring suitable measures and checks to ensure process discipline.
• Work closely with the production teams and management to influence change and develop a more productive and efficient culture.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Ability to build strong working relationships with employees, internal and external customers
• Computer literate with an understanding of all Microsoft products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
• Qualification or equivalent experience to a HNC level in a numerical based subject
• Team worker who is customer focused
