Job Description

Our client is recruiting for Skilled Paint Sprayers to play a pivotal role in some high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contribution will be valued in a business where people really matter. Candidates with prior automotive and/or aviation spraying experience of particular interest. Training will be provided on the products and there is scope for further development and progression within the Company

Your responsibilities in this role include:

  • Spraying components of varying sizes
  • Working with a variety of paints from gloss to matt, water based and solvent
  • Ability to sort all paint defects interior or exterior using various tools and techniques be it by using spray gun, brush head or roller head
  • Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of task
  • Be fully conversant with all equipment, and tools associated with the Paint Spraying process
  • To spray units as per customer specification using electrostatic spray pumps and single/twin pack paints.
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with the Manufacturing data pack
  • To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard
  • Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures
  • Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager

Apply if you have the following or equivalent:

  • Time served as a painter with a proven track record of paint experience
  • Experience in commercial vehicle, motor trade and aircraft paint spraying
  • Fully trained in working with various primers and topcoats including water based and solvent based paints
  • City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent time served
