Repairs Surveyor

Location: Within approximately 30 miles of Durham
Salary: £35k - £40k pa + Car Allowance
Package: 28 days + 8 bank holidays, up to 9% matched pension contribution, Flexible working

I am working with a housing provider in search for a repairs surveyor to join their maintenance team.

The role of a Repairs Surveyor is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the housing stock. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and accurately recording information related to the organisations housing assets. Your duties will contribute to investment plans, capital programs, and the net-zero carbon strategy.

Responsibilities:

Asset Assessment and Condition Recording:
- Investigate and assess the materials, age, and condition of the housing assets.
- Ensure accurate data collection and recording.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making regarding asset management.

Responsive Repairs and Maintenance:
- Deliver a comprehensive and high-quality responsive repairs and maintenance surveying service.
- Specify and manage repair works effectively.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure cost-effective and quality service delivery.

Technical Expertise:
- Utilises IT tools proficiently, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Independent Work and Team Collaboration:
- Work independently with confidence, while knowing that support from the broader team is available.
- Collaborate with other members of the Housing Asset Management team.

Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.

Essential requirements:
- Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 penalty points
- Previous experience in surveying housing stocks, preferable within the social housing sector
- A degree / HNC in Building Studies would be advantageous.
