Construction Framework Manager

Our client is a public sector/client-side organisation and their offices are based in Scunthorpe, although this role is mainly remote/home based with some flexibility to be on site as and when required.

They are looking for a candidate with a Quantity Surveying/Cost Management background to take on the Lead role of Framework Manager within the Construction and Highways framework with specific responsibility for the management of the Construction area.

You will be responsible for providing procurement advice and support on Construction related projects ensuring compliance with corporate procedures, legislation, and contractual arrangements.Manage the Business Services team to support Construction related activities, for the
purpose of instigating property related works, including commissioning, resourcing, contract management and performance. You will be providing a financial and procedural monitoring service for the Capital and Revenue Building Programme, including project management.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience that confirms sound knowledge of construction procurement and contract management.
• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience of using construction contracts, preferably the NEC Suite of Contracts.
• Experience and proven ability in the property and construction environment.
• Experience of leading high-profile projects with knowledge of project management.
• Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Sound market knowledge of the construction market and dynamics which affect the sector, or a demonstrable ability to assimilate and learn new information and present this in a credible way.
• Knowledge and experience in using standard forms of contracts, ideally construction NEC contracts.

Previous experience working for or with a public sector organisation would be beneficial but not essential and you will be responsible for 1 direct report and an overall team of 4.
