Position Title: Traffic & Parking Engineer

Location: London

Rate: £25-32 per hour dependant on experience

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in local authorities with a focus on Parking Project delivery, including CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone) management and minor works.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Parking Engineer with a strong background in local authority projects to join our team in an exciting role based in London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering Parking Projects, including CPZ implementations and minor works, within local authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Parking Projects, including CPZ implementations and minor works, from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with local authority objectives.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare technical designs, specifications, and tender documentation for Parking Projects.
  • Oversee contractors and consultants during project implementation, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on parking-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in Parking Engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in local authorities, with a focus on Parking Project delivery.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for design and analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS)
