Fabricator

Morson are exclusively looking for 6 Skilled Fabricators based at GKN Aerospace in Filton. It is a 12 month contract but is likely to become permanent.,

The working hours are 35 hours per week over 4 days, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday to Friday (with 2 weeks notice to change shift). The hours are 6.30-3.45PM.

Job Description:

The use of hand, electrical and pneumatic tools and bending machines to shape, form and assemble metal products within drawing limits. Desired abilities to include (but not limited to):
• Use of jigs to assemble parts made from stainless steel, titanium or aluminium
• Fitting
• Swaging
• Measuring machinery and jigs
• Awareness of recognised quality process, i.e. ISO 9001, AS/EN9100, or similar

Qualifications:

A recognised and relevant apprenticeship or the equivalent NVQ standard. Previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment would be desirable.

Key Skills:

• Ability to understand technical drawings/limits.
• Must be able to work in small teams with Process Team Leaders
• Self-motivated team player with good communication skills

Weekday overtime increases to £23.31 (£24.27 when stamp achieved)   Weekend Overtime increases to £27.98 (£29.13 when stamp achieved)
