Accountability
Please refer to the Job Families for guidance on scope and level.
• Responsible to accountable manager as form four holder.
Responsibilities:
Tasks or duties which must be performed well in the role in order to succeed. i.e. solution analysis, project management etc.
• Leadership of all hangar based personnel
• Safety of all hanger based personnel including contractors and visitors
• Airworthiness of all aircraft and modifications
• Quality Performance and leadership of improvements
• Delivery Performance and improvement
• Direct Cost and gross margin improvement
• Control of Overhead costs
• Form Four Holder
• Build and strengthen relationship with customers and end user.
• Supporting all commercial activities and assisting with commercial strategies concerning e.g. customer negotiations
• Accountable for all reporting/metrics
Tasks:
A piece of work to be done within the responsibility of the role. i.e. keep records of maintenance, coordinate work with engineers, assemble prototypes of machines for testing etc.
• Balance and communicate priorities across teams.
• Report on aircraft status at escalation meetings and other forums
• To prepare reports and metrics to the senior leadership team, customer and end user.
• Investigate incidents/events to ensure root cause analysis is completed and mitigate future re-occurrence
• Lead pre-input planning process to ensure deliverable, planned inputs are enacted to agreed schedules and costs.
• Drive delivery of schedule for maintenance identifying recovery actions to return to plan when schedule adherence is threatened.
• Manage all personnel at base including but not limited to probation reviews, PDR’s, personal development, disciplinaries, grievances etc.
• Manage the finances on daily basis
• Continuously improve the operation to maximise efficiency and cost.
• Communicate with the customer on daily basis to ensure delivery of customer needs and anticipate requirements
• Any other reasonable duties required by the Company

• P & L experience and be financially astute

• Commercial acumen
• Ability to communicate to at all levels both written and verbal.
Education:
List the level of education, credentials, license(s) or certificate(s) required. If applicable, list ‘essential’ and ‘desirable’ qualifications.
• Graduate in technical subject or equivalent.
• Previous Form Four Holder
• Aeronautical qualification
• Leadership qualification
Experience:
Identify the amount and type of general and/or managerial experience required. Experience should be based on the job requirements and not on the experience level of the incumbent.
• 5 years’ experience in leadership complex operations management. Management of complex Projects and advantage at a senior level.
• Managing complex customers
• Extensive experience in implementing improvement in lean methods and philosophy
• Worked in complex manufacturing or maintenance operations
• Previous financial accountability including P&L accounts
• Demonstrable commercial acumen at a senior level
• Experience of working in diverse and international operations
• Building team capability through communication, coaching and empowerment

Additional local needs
Additional role requirements, such as physical requirements, environmental conditions, travel etc.
• Role is based at the Hangar
• Ability to drive in the UAE
• Regular international travel will be required
