Senior Planner

  • Rate: £500 - £550 p/d (inside IR35)
  • Location: Royston (hybrid working)

Our client is a leading engineering and design consultancy that specialises in projects within the pharmaceutical and chemical engineering sectors.

They currently require a P6 Senior Planner to join their client on a contract basis to support with the delivery of multiple pharmaceutical projects.

Within this role, you’ll be required to carry out Project Control duties with limited supervision, and work under your own initiative in the production of Project Programmes and Tender Programmes.

  • Experience of programming multi-disciplinary engineering design and good understanding of engineering activities and how process engineering is scheduled.
  • Experience of various forms of contract, including NEC.
  • Experience of Schedule Risk and Cost analysis.
  • Experience of Claims.
  • Experience of working with company Enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward manner both in writing and orally.
  • A proactive, structured, and analytical approach to work as well as a good eye for detail and data quality.
  • Experience delivering work in the industrial markets. Ideally in Chemical engineering, Pharma type projects.
  • Excellent understanding for how projects are designed, procured, constructed, and commissioned.
  • Previous experience of managing Junior planners desired, allocating tasks, checking achievements and providing constructive feedback, direction and management.
  • Implementation and use of EVM on projects.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of Project Controls Techniques including, budget and spend management, change control, Earned Value Management, data analysis, trend analysis and Work Package Management.
