We are excited to offer several openings for Technicians in our clients Operations department across the North West region. In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in the progression of their Capital Works Programme. This includes involvement in road safety, enhancement, and asset renewal projects throughout the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying and managing asset studies and survey efforts.
• Contribute to the development of preliminary solutions for improvements or renewals, including the preparation of essential documentation, evidence, and options following established methodologies and prioritization criteria.
• Aid in developing technical specifications for design and construction contractors tasked with improvements and renewals.
• Help maintain accurate road asset data and condition information within relevant databases.
• Support the analysis of traffic collision data and the formulation of safety measures to mitigate risks.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Education & Experience: HND/C or relevant qualification with appropriate experience or actively working towards it.
• Business Knowledge: Understand the function and importance of the Strategic Road Network, with a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in asset condition assessment and degradation modeling.
  • Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB) and Value Management processes.
  • Experience in highway infrastructure design and construction delivery methods.
  • AutoCAD proficiency is desirable.

Role Requirements:

• Valid full clean driving license, as driving is an essential part of the role.
• Availability to work unsociable hours as needed.
