Senior Project Accountant

Our client, an industry leader in the engineering field, are currently seeking a skilled Senior Project Accountant to join the team at their Reading office.

This is a hybrid opportunity, with 3 days on-site.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for business activities on a very exciting project. Upon completion of this project, the Senior Project Accountant will then support the wider requirements of the business, including further projects, overheads, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

-            Reconciliation of project costs within Oracle and managing monthly reconciliations.

-            Monitoring project expenditure and delivery

-            Support PMs to understand actual costs incurred

-            Identification of cost savings

-            Supporting with preparation of budgets (MYB) and forecasts

-            Participating in the bid process and supporting the commercial team on claims

-            Eventual closure of the project

-            Reporting on risks

-            Assisting in the completion of the Program Dashboards and CSR

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

-            Fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)

-            Good working understanding of Oracle would be desirable

-            Experience in providing financial analysis in a technical environment

-            The ability to fully understand and analyse technical and financial information

-            A Project Accounting background within the engineering/manufacturing field

-            Good business partnering skills

-            High-level Excel user
