Job Title: Technical Account Manager

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland – Hybrid Working (2 days office – 3 days home office)

Client:
My client is an industry-leading smart grid technology developer which provides platforms for traditional power distribution networks. In the last 3 years they have had an aggressive growth strategy going from 15 employees to over 300 with the plan to reach 500 by the end of 2024.

With this aggressive growth strategy in place, they are now looking for a technical account manager which is customer-oriented and responsible both for successful project delivery as well as for pre-sales technical support. You will be the voice of the customer inside the business. Key to this role is a can-do team player attitude and extensive experience dealing directly with customers.

What you’ll do
Presales

  • Elaborate project specifications, scoping, internal costings, commitments
  • Support sales with shaping and positioning the project offer
  • Product Demonstration

Project Management tasks / Account management

  • Support customer in field installation and usage of the technology
  • Ensure delivery of the promised customer outcome on time and at the right quality
  • First point of contact for customer’s supports
  • Product training and installation support
  • RFI/RFP submissions support

Product Management/Development tasks

  • Identify customer needs
  • Software testing from a user perspective
  • Evaluate platform specifications and technical requirements
  • Customer product documentation

What you’ll need

  • A Master or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Good understanding of electricity distribution, main challenges and key players.
  • Worked in the daily operations of a grid operator (DSO/Utility) such as Grid Operations, Control Room, Short Term Planning, Asset Management is a plus.
  • Understand the DSO environment including SCADA, GIS, distribution grids, etc.
  • An understanding of and experience with software and/or data and/or technology hardware
  • Direct exposure to customers
  • Fluent French and English. Any other language is a plus
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and ambiguity
  • Creative mind, problem solver, proactive
  • Can-do attitude, true team player, enjoys helping others improve, humble
  • Enjoy solving customer problems
  • Willingness to travel
