Job Title: Senior Buyer – IT
Location: Coventry / Flexible – travel to Coventry min once per week
Duration: 6-9 month FTC

Job overview

We are currently supporting a leading energy provider recruit an established Senior IT Buyer, to further strengthen their IS Procurement function.

Our client relies on third parties and supply chain to support their mission to keep customers safe and warm. A big part of this is investment in all things IT, which features in everything they do. From the technology used in call centers, to ensure data is safe, to locating pipes in the ground.

Key responsibilities

With support, the role holder will be responsible for the execution of sourcing (primarily mini tender and call off activity) and contract management activity

Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and expedite those through the procurement and contract management processes

Be the point of expertise for the transactional procurement processes

Provide support and guidance to ensure that the procurement systems operate effectively, data is up to date and issues are resolved

Enable value by supporting and leading aspect of tendering process, in order to meet businesses needs

Support stakeholder engagement both internally and externally

Assist the proactive management of contracts, by analysing performance and supporting the resolution of contract issues

Ensuring compliance with sourcing and contract management frameworks, as appropriate

Build and maintain effective supplier relationships

Support supplier relationship management and contract relationship management activities

Monitor supplier service level and cost performance through KPIs

Analyse and forecast inventory levels and manages stock obsolescence, where appropriate

Review contract payments and claims in line with contract terms

Candidate overview

Degree or equivalent in a commercial / procurement discipline and relevant commercial / procurement experience

Valid UK Driving Licence

IS Procurement experience preferred

The enthusiasm to help identify, support and implement improvements in process delivery

An understanding of core values, and positively contribute to a customer-orientate approach

An inquisitive nature and an interest in developing your existing skill set

The confidence to make decisions, by identifying, analysing and interpreting all relevant information
