Job Title: Compliance Assurance Officer

Location: Can be based anywhere in the following reagions; Nottingham, Derby, East Birmingham,vWest Birmingham, Chipping Norton, Ardley, Yarnton, Farringdon, Longcross

Job Type: Contract, 40 hours per week, 8.30-5 (can be flexible for chilccare arrangements etc)

Primary Industry: Environmental and Waste

Salary: £300.00 - £500.00 Per day

Job Description:

The Compliance Assurance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance within the Environmental and Waste industry. Responsibilities include:

Job Duties:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures
• Conducting regular audits to assess adherence to regulations
• Providing guidance and training to staff on compliance matters
• Investigating and resolving compliance issues
• Collaborating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar compliance role
• Knowledge of relevant environmental and waste regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• A degree in Environmental Science, Law, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in compliance assurance
• Understanding of risk management principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Compliance or Environmental Management
• Experience working in the waste management sector
• Knowledge of ISO standards

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role with occasional site visits
• Full-Time hours, with potential for overtime
• Contract position with the possibility of extension
