Job Opportunity: Business Development & M&A Project Manager (Renewable Energy)
Location: Essen, Germany (Hybrid: ideally 2 days/week in office remote flexibility)

About the Role

Morson Talent is supporting a leading European Independent Power Producer (IPP) in their search for a Business Development & M&A Preoject Manager. This strategic role offers a unique opportunity to be mentored by an experienced manager, serving as their right-hand in managing and divesting solar projects in southern Germany. In the future, you’ll play a key role in expanding the companys renewable energy footprint across Europe, with fast-track potential for career growth in business development both in Germany and globally.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the progression of solar projects in southern Germany to the construction-ready phase.
- Facilitate the sale of projects to investors or competitor developers.
- Engage with stakeholders, including landowners, municipalities, and potential buyers.
- Assist in land acquisition and negotiation processes.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and transaction execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Candidate Profile

- 2-3 years of experience in business development, project development, or M&A within the renewable energy sector, preferably solar.
- Proven track record in project sales or acquisitions.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (2-3 days/month) to project sites in southern Germany.
- Fluency in German proficiency in English is advantageous.
