Outcell Lead Package Manager

We are excited to bring your attention to a new opportunity for an OUTCELL LEAD PACKAGE MANAGER to be based in West Cumbria.

About the Project:

Lead Package Manager responsible to the Area Project Manager for the co-ordination of Outcell Package Managers and management of work packages/systems and support to the BEP JV Management Team in the successful delivery of the BEP project for the client.

About the Role:

To co-ordinate the delivery of multi-discipline work packages including engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for Plant Areas or Systems through all phases of the project.
To assume ‘cradle to grave’ accountability for a work package, ensuring all changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained,
To lead the package team to ensure key project milestones are met in accordance with timescale, budget and quality targets,
To inform and assist Project Management in identifying resources required to deliver the work scope, ensuring resource levels are sufficient, realistic and achievable,
To act as key contact for, and manage interfaces with, external suppliers and design houses engaged on the packages, according to contract.

To manage Subcontractors to deliver the allocated packages of work.
To manage a multi-discipline team to support the Subcontractors delivery and site works including Engineering, QA, Expediting, Commercial, Doc Control, Planning, Construction, Commissioning.
To ensure appropriate resourcing is available from all the above disciplines in accordance with scheduled activities.
To manage change relating to both Client and Subcontractor, which is driven by other Area’s in the JV, the Employer and Commissioning activities.
To manage schedules owned by the Subcontractor and BEPDT.
To manage and reporti change, cost and reporting within BEPDT.
To manage scope relating to system interfaces to other systems and therefore liaison with other contracts and Subcontractors.
To ensure the schedule and arrangements for site works are in place and supporting site works.
To identify and manage risk.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Experience of managing packages of work on EPC projects or similar.
Proven track record of successfully working on NEC3 projects.
Qualification in Project Management preferable.
Experience and demonstrated abilities of working as part of a collaborative team, in a multi-discipline environment.
Experience in Mechanical and EC&I services.
Experience within nuclear sector.
Hold a minimum HND or equivalent.

Design Tools/Software:

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of planning software such as Primavera P6 an advantage.
Use of CEMAR is an advantage
