Mobile Gas Service Engineer – Leeds

My client who provides total building maintenance and facilities management for commercial buildings within the private and public sectors are looking for a Mobile Gas Service Engineer in the Leeds area.

Main Duties:
• Undertake service, repair and replacement of gas fire plant – including providing reports, recommendations and quotations.

• Participation in a 24/7 on call rota. (This is currently 7days out of 28days)

• To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated equipment, including fault finding and repair

• Operation of plant and equipment. Inspection of Mechanical & Electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation in accordance with agreed procedures and company quality standards.

• Participate in the upkeep of records on servicing of plant and equipment and maintaining the plant asset registers.

• To carry out any reasonable request to perform duties which are normal custom and practice in a maintenance environment.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
• COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety
• or – CODNCO1
• TPCP1A Testing & Purging Pipework up to 6” (150mm)
• ICPN1 Installation of Pipework in excess of 28mm
• CORT1 Overhead Radiant Tube Heaters
• CDGA1 Direct Fired Commercial Appliances
• CIGA1 Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
• CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety
• CENWAT Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
• CPA1 Combustion performance Analysis

40 hours per week with participation in a 24/7 call out rota. This is currently on a 1 in 4 week basis and a standing fee of £85.00 will be paid per week when on call.

Company vehicle for company use.

Company mobile phone for company use.

The salary for this position is between 35k – 40k. Previous experience as a Gas Service and Maintenance Engineer within a Facilities Management background is essential.
