THERMAL VACUUM TEST ENGINEER – 6 Months – Portsmouth Hampshire
Internal & External Relationships:
Liaise with all internal projects and external customers to provide a professional testing service.
Main Activities:
Perform thermal vacuum testing on space and commercial hardware.
Perform temperature/humidity testing on space and commercial hardware.
Post-processing data test and reporting.
Working to national and international standards.
Review test procedures, raise quotations against external customer specifications.
Managing calibration of test equipment.
Assist with costs and scheduling.
Maintenance of the associated test facilities.
Requirements:
Engineering apprenticeship HNC or Engineering Degree
Seasoned in Testing in a laboratory environment.
Experience of working directly with customers.
Ability to work flexible hours weekend/shift working on a rotating pattern.
- Days Mon – Fri (with the possibility of shift and weekends 6-2/2-10) 20% uplift.
- Nights 33%
- Overtime Premium rate – 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun
