Product Assurance Managers with experience of customer interface and supply chain and design review cycle involvement are required to be in charge of the Product and Quality Assurance activities for units, subsystems and systems designed and/or manufactured by our defence client in the UK or procured. Please note that this is a Product Assurance not a Supplier Quality/Quality role, candidates will need extensive PA experience within the defence industry. The role will also involve supporting bid teams and coordinating Quality Engineering experts. The role involves but is not limited to the following: Management of Quality Assurance / Product Assurance Activities Performing and/or coordinating the Quality Assurance / Product Assurance activities for the client in the UK (Bristol and Harwell) and its suppliers/subcontractors (write/review Data packs, participate to/lead reviews, participate to inspections, manage NCRs,…); Perform Procurement Quality Assurance: activities (definition/cascading of Quality Requirements to subcontractors/ suppliers, review of Data packs, participate to/lead reviews, participate to inspections, manage NCRs,..) Management of Work Packages; Supporting bid teams by reviewing product and quality assurance requirements, creating or amending product assurance procedures in line with the bid requirements and preparing the estimates; Internal and external audit performance, including sub-contracts & suppliers; Interface with other internal Quality organizations. Quality Management System Customer's satisfaction improvement Quality Management System implementation and review Improvement Plan definition and follow up Quality reporting including Veto right and duty of alert Alerts (following non-conformance) management Claims management Company Quality dashboard support Company Certifications Lessons learnt implementation Qualifications, Skills & Experience; The candidate has ideally more than 3 years of experience and a demonstrable positive performance record in the following activities; Management of quality or product assurance in a complex multifunctional manufacturing or engineering context; Experience in any of the areas on follows is desirable: Satellite/subsystem AIT GSE Propulsion subsystems A working knowledge of European Space Agency or UK MoD quality and product assurance expectations Communication and influencing skills to build productive relationships at all levels of the business Knowledge of one or more of the following disciplines would be advantageous: RAMS, Radiations, EEE Parts Quality, Materials and Processes The job holder would be expected to be educated to degree level in an Engineering or QA discipline A professional qualification from an institution with relevance to Quality & product assurance is desirable. While specific knowledge of the French Language is not a prerequisite for this position it would be advantageous to facilitate activities across the Joint Venture organisation. Security Clearance or ability to obtain it would be advantageous. We are recruiting a great permanent opportunity for our client based in Falkirk. They are looking for a Payroll Administrator on a full time basis - 37.5 Hours per week to start ASAP. Prime responsibility for the weekly processing of bulk payroll in accordance with strict pay dates and timescales. Day to day duties will involve: * Receiving invoices/remittances from client organisations * Reviewing expenses and processing the weekly payroll, ensuring all figures balance * Dealing with timesheet/invoice/pay queries * Processing new starters & leavers * Dealing with all aspects of statutory payments and deductions * Processing information for external third parties, such as Child Support Agency and DWP * Advising employees on PAYE and NIC matters * Manual Tax and NI Calculations * Processing payments by BACS * Producing and analysing reports * Checking and approving payments before sending to the bank * Reconciliation of payrolls Experience and skills required: * Bulk payroll experience - 500 plus employees per week * SAGE Experience * Up to date knowledge of PAYE rules * Good administration, planning, organising and time management skills with excellent attention to detail * Comfortable working to tight deadlines and able to use own initiative * High level of customer service orientation and ability to deal with people at all levels * Good computer skills, including the ability to operate excel spreadsheets and word documents at a proficient level
EGSE Design EngineerOxfordshire, England
Our client are seeking an EGSE Engineer to support the design, specification and procurement of EGSE equipment for their space programmes. The main duties and responsibilities will include: Design / Specification of EGSE to support Spacecraft AIT (e.g. EPS, RF, CCS, TMTCFE) following requirement engineering process (Traceability/Compliance matrix etc.) taking into account customer level requirements. Review of suppliers' documentation / RID generation (e.g. during Tender phase or during formal reviews with the customer PDR/CDR etc) Support of major review with the Customer. Production of relevant EGSE documentation (e.g. Design reports, User Manuals, Test Procedures) Oversee manufacturing process forEGSE systems, This may include: Procurement, managing/prioritizing the manufacturing processes. Validation and certification for use in the AIT facility 1st level support fortheAIT facility, which may include Commissioning of hardware, Composition of AIT procedures, Training, Maintenance Troubleshooting KEY SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY Expertise in one or more than one of the following fields: Knowledge of one (or more) Spacecraft subsystem from previous ESA mission (e.g. EPS, OBC, COMMS etc.) Proven ability in certification process would be an asset (i.e. CE marking) Proven ability in EGSE/ATE design and procurement EGSE Data Exchange Network (EDEN) protocol will be a plus Satellite Reference Database (SRDB) / MIB format will be a plus Requirements Management (RATIONAL DOORS)
