Morson Talent are currently looking for a Cable and Plant Scheduler for our client based in Bury St Edmunds.
Your job purpose will be to provide excellent customer service within a Logistics Team striving to continuously add customer value whilst constantly reducing cost.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Conduct oneself at all times in a professional manner to promote a positive image of the Logistics function and the clients reputation in general demonstrating the Vision and Values of the company
• Responsible for the scheduling of Plant, Cable and General Material for the Networks Business
• Ensure customer requests are processed accurately via SAP and the scheduling database
• Keep Customers informed of any issues relating to their requirements
• Liaise with Inventory Planners, Distribution Centres and Plant Assembly Team to ensure timely deliveries
• Liaison with third party providers
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional, efficient and timely manner utilising the Logistics Customer Issue Log where appropriate
• Ensure emergency requirements for faults are fulfilled
• Complete ad hoc roles and duties as advised by the Customer Manager

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Key Responsibilities include:

• Participating in effective Mini-business meetings, ensuring clarity regarding work planned for the day, reviewing performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Applying visual management of QSCSP to ensure goal achievement, highlighting and addressing issues of concern.
• Conducting formal problem solving e.g. 3Qs, 5 Why’s, Fishbone etc.
• Implementing innovation to ensure continuous improvement of performance.
• Initiating and participating in Kaizen projects.

WORK HOURS:
Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm

This is a temporary role which will become permanent for the right candidate.
