Business Transformation Programme Director

Morson are partnering with a global supply chain business to help them recruit an experienced Business Transformation Programme Director. This role will be offered on a contract basis for an initial period of 18-24 months. This role will lead on enterprise-wide transformation projects driving large-scale change initiatives that impact every aspect of the business.

Our client is a leader in innovative Supply Chain solutions globally, they operate in more than 100 countries and this role has the ability to drive business wide transformation aligned to their strategic business objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Establish and lead an effective programme management structure for one or more Business Enterprise Programmes in accordance with the programme framework, including:

  • Leading successful delivery of all key milestones and deliverables
  • Management of programme budget within allocated scope
  • Identifying and managing dependencies, risks and issues and driving corrective actions
  • Accountability for programme key decision log.
  • Establish effective programme governance, implement standardised tools, methodologies, and processes to enforce best practices, maintain compliance, provide actionable reporting, and ensure clear decision making.
  • Ensure programme has comprehensive change management plan and benefits realisation plan
  • Provide programme reporting capabilities tracking overall performance, risk/issue management and benefits realisation.
  • Resource management – ensure programme has a detailed resource plan and forecast to ensure key resources are available when needed
  • Dotted line management of matrix programme teams – managing performance and providing guidance and coaching to develop capability and ensure programme delivery
  • Accountable for presentation materials to be used in key governance forums and updates to ELT, Sponsors and senior stakeholders

Experiance Required: 

  • 5+ years successfully leading and delivering large scale complex transformation programmes on time and on budget. Ideally across International businesses. 
  • Proven track record of influencing at senior management/executive-level within large organisations and of building and managing excellent business-wide relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Proven track record of leading remote teams across multiple continents within a matrixed organization to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience across different types of programmes (eg, organisation design, IT systems, business change) and different modes of delivery (agile, waterfall, hybrid) is desirable
  • Experience of building capability in project and programme management and in demonstrating the value of effective programme management to the organisation
  • Hold senior stakeholders to account as to their responsibility to the programme and timely and effective decision making
  • Champion the value of effective programme management across the business and drive adoption of best practice approaches
