Morson are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Commercial Finance Analyst to join our client’s team in Manchester on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function and the Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) to enhance financial delivery and sustainability.

Role Overview: As a Commercial Finance Analyst for our client, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function and the Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) to enhance financial delivery and sustainability. Your responsibilities will include effective contract management, budgeting, forecasting, trend analysis, and reporting. You will be instrumental in driving positive decision-making processes by providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function and Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) to strengthen financial delivery and sustainability.
  • Provide effective contract management, supporting growth ambitions and enhancing financial outlook.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying trends, and proposing actions.
  • Conduct financial analysis to drive positive decision-making.
  • Support reporting requirements for the team.
  • Develop robust relationships and demonstrate real impact towards meeting strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified with active study towards further qualifications.
  • Experience in a commercial, analytical, or management accounts role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to challenge and offer recommendations to deliver business benefit.
  • Highly motivated, logical, and commercially minded.
  • Autonomous with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for further study in a relevant field welcomed.
  • Industry knowledge in health, social care, or housing sector advantageous.

Role: Commercial Finance Analyst

Location: Manchester based office
