Mechanical Aircraft Technician (Chinook)

Job Title: Chinook Aircraft Engineer

Location: RAF Odiham, Hampshire, Hook

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Duties:

• Conducting maintenance/repair, Chinook aircraft
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues
• Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
• Ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
• Documenting maintenance activities and keeping accurate records

Required Qualifications:

• Recognised engineering qualification in Aerospace or related field
• Experience working on Chinook helicopters
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Experience:

• Prior experience with Chinook helicopters is highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of aircraft systems and components
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in aircraft maintenance
• Experience with military aircraft maintenance
