Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect with extensive experience in infrastructure, particularly with expertise in VMware and Data Centre projects. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust and scalable solutions that align with our client’s business objectives and technical requirements. This is a permanent position based in Warwick, offering a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements, translating them into comprehensive infrastructure solutions.
Design and architect VMware-based solutions for Data Centre projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Develop detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans to guide the deployment of infrastructure solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Operations, to integrate infrastructure solutions seamlessly into existing environments.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of infrastructure solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
Support pre-sales activities by participating in solution design workshops, presentations, and client meetings as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on infrastructure, including extensive experience with VMware and Data Centre projects.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, storage solutions, networking, and server infrastructure.
Expertise in designing and implementing VMware-based solutions, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.
Solid understanding of Data Centre architectures, including compute, storage, and networking components.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions within budget and timeline constraints.
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) preferred.
Experience working in the telecommunications or digital infrastructure industry is a plus.
