Position Overview:

As a Bid Writer you will play a pivotal role in our business development efforts by creating persuasive, accurate, and well-structured bids and proposals. You will collaborate closely with our project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to produce winning submissions that showcase our capabilities and competitive advantages.

Responsibilities:

- Researching and understanding client requirements, project specifications, and industry trends.
- Collaborating with internal teams to gather relevant information and insights for bids.
- Writing, editing, and formatting bid documents in accordance with RFP/RFQ guidelines.
- Tailoring content to address client needs, emphasizing our unique value proposition.
- Managing multiple bids simultaneously and adhering to strict deadlines.
- Conducting thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Continuously improving bid processes, templates, and content library.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within the Construction industry
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The role is 4 days office based, one day home based, so you would need to be within traveling distance of my client’s Swindon HQ.
